jhg, You should know all about demand if you use the internet. Are you getting the info you want fast enough? Do you want more? Are there others out there that want this stuff? Are there new applications that eat bandwidth? Are households and businesses being wired with DSL, Cable and wireless internet access at breakneck and accelerating rates? What more needs be said. The demand is there. People will pay for it and that generates the dollars. You can get a complete list of Ciena's customers from just about any brokerage report, or maybe Ciena's web site. Ciena's customer list reads like the who's who in telecom. You might read my earlier post regarding the NY Times article again. I think you missed a very big point that the author fails to grasp. Jack
