ANALYST SCIENTIFIC METHODS

I would suggest the methodology in this case is something like:

1) Boss calls and says: "we want to buy a lot of CIEN
before the end of the quarter and want the price down"

2) Analyst: "OK, boss"

3) Analyst: "would 15% in '02 be OK? Account weakness
in Telecom sector. That might fly."

4) Boss: "yeah"

And, as the English say, "Bob's your uncle"

If they were getting figures or guidance from the company, we would certainly know about it.
