Out of curiousity Allan, why is it that you can't see this "c" going back up to the necklines? Would that violate a length o' wave principle?

You certainly nailed the turnaround point the first go round, though, but it just seems to me that rational or not, after 7 straight down days, there's pent up buying galore here. The S+P in particular seemed reeeeaaaallly oversold.

That close yesterday (COMPX) was the weirdest thing I've ever seen in quite a while....I don't ever recall (maybe its happened, just don't recall), the index going to the lows, and just swimming flat (with 5 pts or so) within the last hour of trading....as if the world depended on Oracle or something....in retrospect, looks like they wanted to squeeze some shorts bad..

I'm kindof w/Freep on this one.....think we need to grind up for another full trading day (at least)- I guess that is also within your "scenario".....enough up to relieve an oversold condition (to set-up next down).....and a gap and crap here just wouldn't do it.....

And what would big down be without some headfake in the other direction (ie., setting off some bullish signals?)...that's why I'm leaning toward 2080-2100-2130 as the end of this thing....if this is a "c".......maybe we are in the 2nd wave (of the 3 set here)...or could even still be the a of the "c"....3rd wave up gets us to near the listed targets...

I'm thinking back to the day we hit 2265, and bullish signs were popping up (but not confirmed)....sucking in longs, before the next hammer down....thinking something similiar here...maybe on a smaller scale....

Gap and crap is just too....pedestrian- g, ng
