Despite the fact that you have to seriously kick Mani's ass to get him to take action against anybody, he is seen as a malovolent force coming to oppress us all. As a result, he is even more Laissez Faire than he would otherwise be. Still, the "moderated" thread is more civil at its worst than the "flamewar" thread was on average (I exaggerate here, but not too much), so I'm pretty happy.
