Hanging out (the wash) with Barbra

June 18 — Is Barbra Streisand in her backyard hanging out the
laundry? That’s what the multimillionaire performer is advising
fans to do.

STREISAND’S SPOKESMAN declined to say whether the diva herself is
practicing what she preaches.

On her Web site, www.barbrastreisand.com,
Streisand is suggesting that Californians use the
clothesline rather than the dryer whenever
possible to conserve electricity in the
energy-crunched state. When asked if Streisand is
using clothespins herself these days, her
spokesman could barely contain his guffaws.
“Do you really expect me to ask her that?” he
said. He promised to call back with a comment but
didn’t by deadline.

50% of SCE customers are in N001 zones and are not subject to blackouts because they are in circuit with emergency or exempted facilities. Probably the same in PG&E. I'm in a N001 with a fire station a block away.
