Hi Bernard,

Thanks for clearing that up for me. As an amateur in the wireless wars, I find that I've been susceptible to certain misconceptions. Not however, to the extent of a Chris Galvin or Bernie Schwarz, mind you, but there sure seems to be some confusion in this realm. At least I kept my wallet on the hip when the situation wasn't clear. <bg>

WRT: it needs to be repeated over and over that more than 50% of all telco dollars are spent by businesses.

And well that over 80% of all telecom revenues are from voice, and that all future growth is being targeted in the business/enterprise arena, with most RBOC executives in agreement with Ed Whitacre Jr., CEO-SBC who recently declared the entire residential market to be a drag on corporate profits and of no interest to the company. I anticipate the same future for residential telephony that we are seeing in the California electrical market. Transmission and distribution to residential areas will simply be sloughed off by profit seeking ILECs to some sort of a quango operator.

Cordially, Ray
