tink, you fail to realize that computers don't clomp themselves together instantaneously. they take thought. they take planning. they take protos. what is unveiling itself now is the foundation that will support ddr dram.

computers just don't happen. ignoring the fact your contractor is ordering sand for your foundation would be silly.


Indeed they just don't happen, that is why RDRAM is selling on the mass market as main memory on the desktop and DDR is not. Which is my point. Do you want to look at spec numbers or at actual product.

DDR specs and DDR hype, and I've written about Micron DDR claims going back to 1999 which sound exactly as they are today, have been around forever. Yet despite all this, where are the DDR desktops? They are still press releases with very, very, low volume production.
