Well, you got that right, but at least at home, one person can simply decide to say "Yes, Dear" and be done with it. As for toilets, well, I have a nanny.

I am not saying that we need to arrive at a consensus. What I am saying is that MPs are effectively not allowed to vote the way their constituents wish, on many topics. Furthermore, Canadians technically do not even choose their Prime Minister, since the leader of the party that wins takes that job.

The United States IMHO has a system that has more checks and balances against abuse of power. Don't forget to add that in Canada the government in power is the one to choose the election date, and surely they would not pick a date that they believe will result in their fall.

Hmmm, more stuff.

Maybe they'll make Internet access a utility...and some lucky down and out public company will get to become a quasi-crown corportion:
