I have about 3.5 MB left over once I do a full install of the Familiar 0.4 distribution. I really wish I had one of those 32 MB iPaqs, but it just wasn't to be...

Since the 12.5 MB file system includes Python, the remaining memory can hold an awful lot of applications. Not enough space to run Doom though.

There is another iPaq user here at work and we looked at writing a driver under WinCE to use the extra flash as sort of a built-in Compact Flash. It would be fairly easy to do, but we would need the ODI from Compaq to do this.
