My simple answer is that Intel wants to weaken AMD. I believe the price cuts are on lower priced Celeron chips (there was some comment from another brokerage).

That is probably the bread and butter for AMD while it is not for Intel.

Seems like a good strategy!

BTW--RE: channel stuffing---just wait for Osha's next report which should be due in a few days about the same subject.<g>
Watch out for the delivery methods angle as well...overseas deliveries by ship (just like an oil tanker).<g>
