Did I ever say that Palm was the future? PalmOS is a decent, stripped down OS for a low end device. But it is very 68k-centric and is at a dead end. Yeah, Palm-alikes aren't dead, but they sure are breathing funny...

Sure, essentially one product, from one manufacturer. Compaq has done a good job with the iPaq, who can argue with that? But even Compaq is having second thoughts about the unfortunately named WinCE, else why would they be funding a Linux port? Why are most of the new PDAs being introduced running Linux?

Don't get me wrong, PocketPC is a good implementation, but it is basically too little, too late.
