White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said.

However, he said, "I think the American people are tired of these open-ended investigations and fishing expeditions ... The White House does not believe that that would serve the public well."

Does the White House consider the persecution of Clinton by the Republican Congress to have been unfair? Why didn't Bush speak out against "open-ended fishing" expeditions while Clinton was president?
