Lived in Basalt for 6 years. I learned to ski in Aspen. Thank goodness I have good friends there still so when I want to do some really good skiing I just go visit them. My husband is the one that wanted to leave there and come to Seattle (I am a native of Seattle) and I am the one that wanted to stay in Colo. I was right. Should have stayed there. He now hates the winter/spring weather here as much as I always have. We are so settled here it would be hard to leave but I really think that if he said "lets move back to Basalt" I'd be packed in a day and out the door. Beautiful, beautiful part of the country. M
