The fast stochastic 8 period set at 14 is used by Jeff Cooper in his 5 day momentum strategy...Jeff plays fast moving momentum stocks, and buys them on the pullback, before they continue their run...The fast stochastic 8 period allows the trader to gage when a fastmoving momentum stock is short-term oversold...I have used it together with the 5 period CCI to trade gold stocks very effectively the past few years...Again, two indicators don't make the world go round...There is pattern recognition, volume studies, bollingers,envelopes, and Gann Retracements to take into consideration as well....Regards, Mark
