Let's see, so they save, what, $5? on (at full ramp) say 150,000 CPUs per week - Why, that FAB will pay for itself in only 32 years!

OOPS! We forgot the .18 FAB that was making 850MHZ mobile PIIIs that's now become superfluous in the current market downturn and has to have the remaining $1 Billion or its book value written off prematurely, now how long until payoff?

Great news! Do you have a link to something other than your wishful thinking?

'Cause, right now, AMD's old process is looking pretty damn competitive with Intel's new one. And AMD has 6 months to go to until its next process, while Intel has to live with what its got for 2 more years.
