I think it's un-American to allocate anything based on the color of ones skin. I thought all had the right to equal access and that ability and merit should govern selection.

Affirmative action quotas harm the intended beneficiary more than they harm the victim. We can't afford to waste any resource. Discrimination does just that, no matter the intent.
