That is, what the non-GPS systems have to do anyway??? But obviously it would be nice to gvmt subsidies to exchange all existing US handsets with one having a GPS RF part in the upper RF corner, just to ensure they will work extremely well where GPS works extremely well. Ilmarinen Without getting into the technical details on how non-GPS systems might perform in regular triangulations, especially all those AMPS-only networks serving 40% of handsets.
