The problem was switching from Win ME to W2K I had to a completely
shut down or Restart then unplug and replug in the router's power cable.
Just Restarting left the router unconnected to my ISP.

I forgot about that. I'm not sure why it happened but it's not happening now.

You told me once before how to look at what starts up with W2K. It was my 2nd
day with W2K and looked overwhelming so I shyed away from it. I forgot to bookmark
your post and couldn't find it. I think I'm ready to tackle it now. Please just give me the
click path.

I found the answer to my W2K/msconfig question, it's Services
and now it isn't intimidating. I've come along way in the last
2 months.
