LOL. The district was 40% black and represented by a Dem almost 20 years. The Dems stated that the district was 'theirs" by all indicators. Hick alert, news is news - the Dem lost in all the papers too, though I'm sure many buried it as if that could reduce its portent.

Since you don't accept a cause-and-effect relationship between Jefford's act of treachery anf the stock market plunge, how do you rate this one: The market has plunged since GWB was elected. If the first is not a cause-and-effect relationship, why would the second be? I don't remember whether you were selling this line of crap or not, but many of your compatriot lefties were.
