lbs1989,

Might you expand on your "Top 10 list", as follows.

1. Your reasoning confuses me a little, being.

"... from posts made from the start of the thread
until around 1st June...
[listed] from most to least mentions... "

Do you mean by mentioned as being recommended
the most times, or having the most "best" recommendations?

2. Have you or will you only select from this "Top 10 list"
companies that you will buy shares in? I believe you did
mention that you did a sell and a buy.

3. I'm sure you have a printer attached to your pc,
and I have found it useful to collect my thoughts,
and to also make sure that I have collected them
in the first place, by putting them down on paper.

This allows you to stick it in a pocket and later while
you are elsewhere you have a thought or a question
about the subject matter, and this allows you to refresh
your memory and use pencil to makes notes for new ideas.

But the biggest reason for me is like a scientist saying
something like until you can grind out the numbers
you may not really understand, but only think so.

So, here is number 4.

4. Create that list of companies onto a hard copy for printing.

I do not know your computer skills, but one can create
a document off-line as in not while networking, and then
you can reply to a post here, even your own, and as you
have that box to type stuff in you can Open that file of text
you created prior and Copy it and then Paste it. This way
you don't have to worry about net works terminations or
any other problems while making a detailed document
that you wish not to lose and retype in. Another way to
do this Stop&Save is what I just now did, as follows.

did a Copy of the above text I just typed into Si here
on my hard disk I keep a bunch of empty files
did an Open on one of those empty files
did a Paste & Save & Close
now if Si terminates I have a copy of above

You may also do an Save As... under the File heading
and create a new file directly.

But to complete this 4., list those companies you have identified
and next to them list data like
name symbol exchange
52 week range
current Bid Ask
any of those other facts talked about as important
questions not yet answered about the company
good things
not good things
other peoples comments

This way its collected on paper and in a file to modify.

Also, once you post this others can really comment better.

Before you check out the following Si post, read remainder
of this post please.

"... H&S company, 1st Bn., 3rd Marine Reg." Yes

"The 106mm Reckless[Recoilless] Rifles" Yes

"... 106's were used in the defence..." Yes, but while I was
in the mountains next to Laos we would also use them
in Search & Destroy offensives if while engaged in a fire fight
a barren mountain top was nearby a helicopter would drop off
the 106 with a dozen shells and I would march there and use
it like it was not made to be used. I forget the maximum range
on the sighting scope, but I could fire it three times that distance.
The .50 spotter round was useless since it lost the burning fire
trail while still raising in the upward arch. I got very good in eye balling
distance and would simply aim to the left of the battle and fire a shell
and then move it towards the fight and shoot over our guys,
and to them it was just a friendly artillery howitzer helping out.

The only danger was when a new lieutenant happened to join me
so as to make sure I did my job correctly and not hurt his men.
Had to give him a quick education that by following his orders
was to accomplish the exact thing he was trying to prevent,
as he had no experience using the rifle out of the range of the
tracer shot. One even wanted me to shoot the anti-personnel round
over his troops, which would of rained from the sky over his troops
thousands of little stuff if done even using the maximum setting
which was way short of the enemy guys.
