Intel will pursue processor price war - Barrett theregister.co.uk

Meanwhile, Magee's former e-rag has this story up.

Barrett also said that the company's support for Rambus memory
was no barrier to sales of its processors. As evidence, he cited the
arrival of sub-$1000 Pentium 4-based PCs. He also said there were
no problems with the supply of Rambus RDRAM. He did, however,
admit that the current economic climate had hit P4 sales.

Another story on Craig's London gig at theregister.co.uk . Mike's spirit still lives on a little at the Register, anyway.

Andreas
it seems that JC is right just read the note under the table:

2. Processor power includes the power dissipated by the processor core, the L2 cache, and the AGTL bus termination. The maximum power for each of these components does not occur simultaneously.
