The company (CIEN) has stated it is comfortable with it's guidance, period. Unless I find out that they lied or they come out and change their numbers, the rest of this circus is just noise.

Until one of these things that I have stated happens, I am buying at these levels.

Reichers,

One on the most interesting phenomena is the fact that sell side analysts have access to tremendous resources that individuals lack. In spite of this their track records are abysmal when it comes to recommending buy or hold (they almost never recommend selling as this would really PO their client).

Now here we are in a new bull market with the wind at our backs, the Fed on the verge of making yet another interest rate cut, and those high paid analysts are downgrading stocks across the board when they should be pounding the table to buy. Especially buy those companies that are continuing to grow and capture market share in today's economic environment.

The bottom line is to do the exact opposite of what they recommend. In other words, be a maverick and avoid the herd.
