DayTraderKidd,
OT
I have been torturing myself on whether or not to answer your misguided answer...I feel for the most part that political expressions are a big waste of time. Individuals tend to believe what they will due to the dogma they were subjected to....only in later years after seeing much pain and suffering do they let facts and reality alter their perspective.
<us, everyone of us>
The problem with your answer is that you assume that your (or my) vote, your opinion, your personal culpability for todays news makes any difference at all.
I have the very, very unpopular belief (which I myself loathe) that the almighty corporate American dollar runs this country. They buy the political choices, buy the laws which are made. What good to vote for choice A or B when they are both backed by the corporate dollar? Ever heard of campaign contributions? It is ingrained into the system. Do you really believe that what's good for the corporate America is good for the people? They are in diametrical opposition.
That's about all I care to say. You can call me a radical, or an idiot. Don't really care. I am not a crusader, I do not
protest in public. I do not destroy what is not mine to destroy. Gandhi is my hero. Passive resistance is my method.
I follow the golden rule. I do not screw over the people in my life, whether I know them or not. I try to change my environment by treating those I come into contact with respect and desire to do good. It is a whisper in the wind.
Not going to change the world.
Fact is I am doomed in that I "see" what most ignore or will not see. I would rather be the "happy idiot", blissful ignorance. Too late. I can never go back.
"Kidd", someday you will see....I just hope it won't be too late.
Best regards,
Eichler
