Frog, Welcome to this thread. You make great trading calls on Microsoft.

The IBM rumor reminds me of AMD yesterday. IBM smooths out revenue streams...hard to believe they will preannounce. That could explain why they have not been able to knock down the rest of the techs. Maybe there could be insider seller OR they could be on the verge of buying a company..that would be more realistic,imho.

I would note that IBM is not able to drag the rest of the Nasdaq market down. Maybe people are starting to ignore the rumor stories because they turn out to be false.
..but one never knows.

Was the IBM rumor denied, or did something else spike the market higher all of a sudden?
