You got me there.

I think you will be vindicated if Intel predicts lower sales in Q3 compared to Q2, which they would necessarily do if they were intentionally stuffing the channel to make Q2 numbers. So far, Intel expects seasonally higher sales in Q3, and that's the same story they've been telling for a while now.

Distributors have price protection.

Retail orders for back to school products get cut in early July, for shipment mid to late July. You need parts to build product now. Can't wait for the price to come down.
