i have heard a lot about DSL installation woes. i have a cable modem. no prob with the service, although i don't like that i have to pay for cable TV as well, even though i don't watch it.

over 3 months of pulling teeth and screwups on their part (a casual observer might conclude that either this company is pathologically lying or technologically incapable of installing/providing this service) one irony in all this mess--people complain a lot about the RBOCs and how they were slow in providing last mile access to the startups. well, i read an article the other day saying the RBOCs are trying to advertise DSL service on cable TV, but the cable operators won't let them. instant karma?
