Tom, got this off RB. There is some discussion whether this could be reason for CORV drop. But this is not the deal with France Telecom that Light Reading was talking about?

Anyway, I continue accumulating this one. The technology has a je ne sais quoi allure to it:)

PARIS -- Telecom Developpement (TD), the French long-distance service provider, has extended its relationship with CIENA (NASDAQ:CIEN - news) as its supplier of optical transport systems to help increase the capacity of its long-haul network that spans 30 French cities.

A subsidiary of Groupe Cegetel, Telecom Developpement is deploying CIENA's MultiWave CoreStream(TM) 96-channel, intelligent optical transport platform, which provides reliable, high-capacity network transmission for voice, data, Internet and video services over fiber-optic networks. TD's CoreStream deployments allow optical connections at 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps as network demands evolve.

"After an extensive evaluation of leading optical equipment vendors, we have decided to continue our successful relationship with CIENA because of its proven ability to deliver market-leading solutions that provide compelling cost advantages," said Charles Rozmaryn, president of Telecom Developpement. "As our business has continued to grow and our network needs expanded, we believe CIENA also has evolved from a niche supplier to a world-class network partner. We are building on our existing three-year relationship, during which we have found CIENA's delivery time, leading technology and quality of support to be of the highest level."
