Which 2nd half are you talking about? This year?! If you are talking about the 2nd half of Bush's TERM, then I would believe you. There is no 'next Y2K' to solve the problems created by the original Y2K scare that created this bubble. Other than buying stock for the helluvit, there is no demanding reason to own a stock today, or for the next 3-6 months for that matter.
What will it take to start momentum?: FAILURE, that's right failure of poorly run companies that have taken the market share away from well run companies. I'm not talking about the 141 .com's that have folded...I'm talking about BIG companies that are in debt to there eyeballs, and have no free cash to keep the company floating in a meltdown. When these companies disappear, then we will have a true recovery.
Which will NTAP be? Well, they have no debt and good free cash flow..BUT, that has been the last 3 years...what about the next 3? I doubt if the numbers will be pleasant. Do you have NTAP's FCF numbers for this year to date? I don't, and until they are published, and I can assess how much money they are (or aren't) burning, I ain't touchin' it.
