Of course, nobody claiming "they've found the bottom" or they can see the bottom out there in 1 or 2 quarters mentions the 64-thousand dollar question: Will their business totally stink after the bottom? Wall Street sure is feeding the delusion that after the bottom it will be manic business as usual. Why the heck would that happen, methinks?

And with each announcement of "reduced revenues, increased losses", etc, the lay-offs continue unabated. I wonder if the bulls ever stop to think about how dramatically the ranks of the "consumers" have been thinned (already).

If the economy's well being depends on the consumer (and it does, given corporate America's truncated capital spending plans), then we are headed for deep doo-doo.
