look how wrong these predictions were. back in 1997 it was predicted that by the end of 2000 china was to have 120 million phone subscribers. whoops, they had 230 million almost twice as much. china was forecast to have 30 million cellular subscribers--at the end of last year they had almost three times that amount. IDC predicted internet use was supposed to be 16 million at the end of 2003, well there were 22.5 million last year and by 2003 there should be well more than 50 million users.

whoops! looks like some of the dipshits who spout their mouths off on this thread aren't the only ones who underestimate china.
