Trite , commonplace and banal is not what I would use to describe the life of Gandhi . As a dead guy , Joe , I think he does offer a striking contrast to a century that found millions following Hitlers and Stalins into the abyss. Living simply & non-violently is easy ? Gandhi did just a little bit more than pound bibles , and sprinkle holy water around...or made promises of you being the master race . Anyways , without having to bring in Gods that throw thunderbolts and parts the seas for their Prophets that stand up on the mountains and that ride on the flaming wings of angels .....Gandhi would be one of my choices to include in any one history book for kids to study. You can remember Gandhi . or you can remember Gucci. Both have touched the lives of millions , I suppose... It's all pretty fascinating isn't it ? ;-)
