"Just to give you a picture of how fast and brutal the decimation of telco/data junk bond values have beeen - here are some moves over the last WEEK:

Exodus - down 30 points to the low 30's
Level 3 - down 15 points to low 40's
Metromedia Fiber- down 15 points to high 30's
XOXO - down 10 points to high 20's
McLeod - Down 10 to mid 50's.

Its Ugly and relentless, and as Exodus showed last night, the bad news keeps coming."

Hi Robert,

"Your analysis leaves out the value of the savings in GX laying its own cable."

I only made the statement in the context of how much cash the unit could raise if sold. There's no question that a lot of money was saved by buying it - it might even have saved enough to pay for itself, but I don't know where we could find that information.

Robert, maybe you need to show me your math on this one. Its been a long time, but I seem to recall GX payed a hefty multiple of sales for this company. And you still have to pay your new employees.

How much has been saved? My house sits on a corner lot and I could buy a herd of sheep to save on the weekly lawn service, but I still have to feed them!
