Hi UF... Good, I think we are OK.

I know your strategy is to establish a core holding. I'm suggesting that puts have a side effect of occasionally establishing a core holding for you. Which you can rely on being of assistance when the equal and opposite occasional side effect of calls has the core position liquidated for you.

You can do better than paper trade. Just simulate the results of past actions and you can see for yourself.

Or not.

Your suggestion about paper trading for a while is of course "proof". But time consuming.

Dr Id at least seems to accept the possibility that the theory has merit. Which is more encouraging than anyone else's response.

Anyway, I no longer really care to gain more brick marks on my forehead. Perhaps in the morning I will wake afresh.
