Absolutely. I liked JDSU last year when it was $100+/share but not at that price. Have since bought in at 19, 15 and 11/share.

About three years ago I researched the current values of a list stocks analysts' had upgraded or downgraded over a one week period six months prior. I found that if one had purchased an equally weighted block of the upgraded stocks, one's portfolio would have dropped about ten percent in value. If you had purchased an equally weighted block of the downgraded securities, you would portfolio would have grown approximately 15%.
