I'm shocked.

No citation and no direct link. That sucks. Oh well.

In general, I don't buy into conspiracies either, but let's look at the timeline. First thing we heard was the Samarai (sp?) chipset for the PIII. It was a dual chipset, but Intel wouldn't give Micron a license. Then Micron re-work it for the Athlon and it became the Scimitar(dual Athlon) chipset. Then came that conference and we first heard of the Mamba with the 8MB L3 cache (single processor). Micron went on a tear, Scimitar sprouted an L3 cache also, and Shogun(L3 cache and maybe integrated video) made a brief appearance. Then Micron started to get quiet about those chipsets, and Copperhead(dual Tualatin, 8MB L3 cache) made it's debut in the press and Intel and Micron are great good buds. Now, only Copperhead is the survivor, all the rest got voted off. So what are we to think?

All I can say, if the same thing happens to nVidia, I am going to be really upset...
