RESEARCH ALERT-Lehman cuts Sanmina estimates

NEW YORK, June 21 (Reuters) - Lehman Brothers on Thursday
said it had cut its 2001 earnings estimate on Sanmina Corp.
<SANM.O> to 88 cents per share from $1.07.
Lehman also lowered its 2002 estimate for the contract
electronics maker to 65 cents per share from $1.05.
San Jose, Calif.-based Sanmina on Wednesday warned that it
would miss third-quarter earnings estimates due to sluggish
demand and backed-up inventories in the technology sector.
Shares of Sanmina closed at $20.08 on Wednesday on Nasdaq.
The stock is off nearly 48 percent so far this year.
