A friend of mine took up flying 20 years ago. Sunday he landed 1,500 feet short of the runway. Tore off the landing gear and the belly of the plane. Sore butts were the only injuries.

This just happened last Sunday? Mercy. That’s too bad. Did he tell you why he missed so widely? That’s pretty dang weird.

I’ve heard of guys forgetting to lower the landing gear of their planes. They ease down, expecting to touch down…then they just keep going down, with things feeling a little “different”... down and down they go... (whaswrong? my gear down? OH SH--!) SCREEEEEEEEEEETCH SCRAAAAAAAAATCH SCROOOOOOOOTCH!!! SCRUUUUUUUTCH!!!!!

Fifty-leven thousand dollars damage. Hehehe.
