Actually, ALA + NT would have no overalap in submarine,
broadband access, little is wireless(only 8% of ALA)
IP+ATM router-switch from both companies wiold be sold well
(Eu,NA)
ALA has its own core router which will be sold with all optical cross-connect (43% market in N.America), NT does not have core router and adge, where ALA have.
If (??????) ALA nad NT merge, Lucent will dissapear.
No US approval needed in this case.
