John, believe it or not I've never fallowed the CPU market as I find it crowded with people much smarter than I. All I have to add is that I don't see myself buying another PC till sometime in 2003 (if then). My 600MHz Athelon has been enough and when I need more juice, I upgrade video, storage, and memory. None of my clients are also keen on upgrading their PCs. As well, seeing how Intel, IMO, made the wrong bet on RDRAM, I am more inclined to go with AMD. But this is only from a personal consumer perspective. I have no idea what is or is not built into the stocks.
