I am not even against the progressive tax code necesarily. I am against the jerks that represent the democratic party that insist on insulting the group of Americans that should be admired for paying MORE THAN THEIR FAIR SHARE. Well that is exactly it. These folks are out to make it seem that if you have means, you are somehow a bad guy, despite the fact you proportionately pay more taxes than everyone else and that you are the dang source of jobs. Other than Democrat politicians and racial demagogues like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, how many folks are employed by poor people? Folks are just not thinking these days.

For our own part we need the assistance of a lawyer and CPA from time to time, a manager to negotiate leases and organize maintenance of the farm properties not to mention the actual farmers, some of whom we share-crop with. Then locally we have a gardening service for a large piece of land and some rentals and a semi-livein Filipino lady in the family homestead. Rents on the two houses (to two large spanish-speaking families) have stayed virtually the same for the last 5 years even though improvements have been made. A condo in Mammoth also supports some local management and trades, one the only one-handed plumber I've ever seem.;) This seems like a fair way to re-distribute wealth. All the while in business with Uncle Sam.:o
