Ron,

While I agree with what you said in general, please be reminded that CIEN doesn't report until mid-August, thus the "warning" window stays open a bit longer.

On the other hand, the slowly stabilizing economy/market place should help CIEN's numbers for the upcoming quarter even if they may be more back-end loaded than usual.

The shorts will be covering all the way up until earnings.

Or maybe they will be selling them! Time will tell.
