Yep, depends on which why you want to go. I favor low capex simple open pit operations for my imaginary "wanna be" gold producing company, especially with gold being given away now days. Can always shift gears later.

I find it stunning that capital is so short that it looks like XCL can't raise US 1 3/4 million in this market to buy the rest of Sleeper in Nevada. It's due June 30. Or NGT who has put together an incredible purchase of PDG's Mulatos (Mex)deposit (3.4 million oz resource), 150 cash cost, 121 million capex for less than US 7 million, actually US 5 1/2 million if they can cash them out by 12/02. CDNX has given them until July 15th to raise CDN 1.6 million, and 8-30 for another CDN 2.0 million. Haywood has cancelled a couple PP's and they've got one now for a million that apparently they can't sell? Anybody have the scuttlebutt on this one?

Was chatting with Claude early today, and said I wished I had some big bucks laying around. Could effectively own some excellent advanced stage top quartile deposits for nothing. You think my wife would let me sell a few apartment buildings? Maybe if I didn't tell her? Seriously though this is chump change for venture capital types. Where are they?
