I'm not saying GX would or should sell Global Marine. My comments have been made in the wake of funding fears over the past few days and someone wondering what GM would be worth to raise capital, if needed. I'm not even saying GX needs to raise capital - we'll see over the next year or two how things are going on that front. Any unit of a company should only be held or sold based on it's financial usefulness.

I think what unfolds over the next year or two is a very substantially improved stock price based on meeting financial goals but with possibility of a minor pothole in the road from which recovery should be effected. With an improved stock price, additional capital can be raised for any acquisitions which will continue to put more distance between GX and it's competitor(s).<gg> With the future rush of profits, all of the financings will be paid of quickly.

I will add this thought: Thanks to the closed capital markets, GX's competitive position now is far and away much better than it was compared to any time in the past three years. In this marathon, GX is in the stadium while the others are still somewhere out on the course. Some may drag their ass(es) into the stadium eventually but it will be long after the closing ceremonies.
