Pretty interested day!

512M SDRAM hit sub-$50 point marking, in my book, the fastest ever DRAM density transition (looks like it took about quarter since 256M hit that price point). A bad thing for DRAM makers but a good thing for consumers and computer business in general (though the impact on AMD is somewhat tough to gauge.)

RDRAM premium at 128MB (mainstream shipping point and XP recommended configuration) is less than $50. Which is not a good thing for AMD.

And, TMTA became less overvalued. Which is probably a don't care for AMD (except stealing a few Crusoe sockets and feeling good about competitor's long-overdue downfall)

Now, I need a few speculators to get the stock back to $30 so that I can sell a few overpriced calls.

P.S.: We recently hit another interesting benchmark - no major Duron push in US retail from OEMS a full year after Duron launch! An interesting display of AMD marketing/sales incompetence. Let's hope this level of competence will not be in display with Mobile Athlons/Durons.
