Re: What happened to the 37 CENTS....

Paul: a guy who hourly makes whiney posts about how somebody else didn't perfectly predict the future, but never has the guts to make a forecast of his own.

What do you expect Intel to report for earnings for this quarter?

Since you're so quick to piss and moan about what everybody else writes, why don't you tell us what you think is going to happen?

Or are you totally lacking any trace of self-respect?

Can we be sure 22 cents is in the bag??? I haven't seen too many Duron or Athlon computers advertised in circulars from Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. That's got me worried. A salesperson from MicronPC (now owned by Gores Technology Group) said "it doesn't appear as if we are planning to develop an AMD processor laptop at this time". I think Intel had a fire sale on their huge inventory of unsold Celerons and PIII's this last quarter. The advertised price for their chips doesn't mean a thing. There was probably a lot of discounting, especially to vendors like Dell. This feels like "deju vu" all over again.

Paul:

"22 CENTS ????

What happened to the 37 CENTS you were yakking about on May 8 ? "

My worst case scenario for AMD's q2 eps is arrived at by taking my best case scenario for INTC of $0.11 and doubling it!!! That is to say that AMD's q2 eps will be at least twice that of INTC and that's my worst case relative performance scenario...Best case??? AMD's q2 eps is 4 times that of INTC...If INTC comes in at $0.11, then AMD comes in at $0.37 or better!!!
