. . . Loral Space & Communications and Hughes Electronics—may have provided unauthorized assistance to China in the reconstruction and analysis of a failed satellite launch. . . .Critics contend that U.S. involvement in China's commercial space sector benefits Beijing's military space and missile development efforts. . . .

. . .Some of these transfers could impair U.S. national security, as in the cases of Loral and Hughes described later in this Report. . . .

The Clinton administration between 1993 and 1996 allowed numerous exports of potential ballistic-missile technology to the Chinese government despite China's refusal, in some instances, to allow inspections to assure that the technology was only being used for civilian purposes, according to classified documents and four U.S. government officials.

Mr. Shepard, give it up, haven't you learned to understand that here on the hard right wing line that facts don't count and anything coming from moderate or liberal or democratic sides of the aisle is offhanded rejected, while the IDOITS here try go back in time and applaud anything the right wing comes up with. I am sure you understand how stupid the missile shield is and yet these bozos blindly applaud it. So don't try any more logic on them, just attack every blunder they post

There is no need to debate the obvious as to Clinton's misdeeds.

Launching satellites is totally a different matter from transferring missile technology.

Hi Mr. Sheperd <g>
"charges that Clinton sold missile technology to the Chinese.....they could produce not a single link that provided any evidence......can you????"

I will try. Have you seriously not heard about the case? I remember it from one of the 60 minutes type of shows. From memory the case involved allowing Loral to sell missile technology to the Chinese. The head of Loral was Clinton's biggest individual donor, and Clinton circumvented the normal approval channel to get the deal done.

If I find a credible source I hope you will analyze it objectivly. Or picture how you would feel about it if GWB did the same thing.

JF - Here is some info you asked for on the Clinton/Loral/Chinese missile stuff. You can find tons more on northernlight's search engine. I keyed in Clinton, Chinese, Loral and got zillions of stories.

Excerpt from: Friday, June 12, 1998 -- Washington Post
By John Mintz, Washington Post Staff Writer

"Now the Justice Department also is investigating whether President Clinton's decision last February granting Loral the right to launch aboard yet another Chinese rocket -- despite an objection from the Justice Department -- was made because Loral CEO Bernard L. Schwartz is the Democratic Party's largest individual donor."

Here's an excerpt from a Washington Times article. Costs $2.95 on Northern Light's search engine (which is an excellent source I might add):

"The June 21 article "China news office to overlook Pentagon," sadly depicts, once again, the extensiveness of the Communist Chinese infiltration of America's national security complexes during the Clinton administration. Unfortunately, during roughly the past eight years, the United States, under the guidance of President Clinton, has undone numerous safeguards and security clearances that protected vital American military and technological secrets."
