It is the stubborn attitude he portrays and not letting go despite rumblings that should have warned him and not taking his losses and moving on to another better pick. It is putting out press releases full of obvious garbage. Be honest. You have studied his other shorts. DO you think he did not have better reasons and accusations in these other cases. You know. Statements like they are not earning enough to even pay the interest on their debts, or accounting irregularities. For me, having a deep knowledge of REFR, none of his arguments carries any weight.

You know, one thing that just occurred to me is how sensitive you are to this attack from Asensio. The fellow has issued a grand total of two reports in a span of one week and already you're all "when will this guy GIVE IT UP already!?" Talk about your low tolerances.

As for his reasons, they strike me as quite similar in nature to those of probably his most famous call, against Diana Corporation. Essentially his contention all the way down was that the reality of the technology being promoted is not as it is being represented by the company.

Similarly with another that was hotly debated on this thread and drew us a lot of condescending criticism from longs very much like yourself was Chromatics Color Sciences. In fact, I don't think there's a single case that Asensio has built on anything so number-intensive as debt service and/or accounting irregularity. That's just not his beat.

What kind of crap is it to say Asensio always plays to win? Win what?

"Win" in the sense that you said he "can't win". Typically that means generally being borne out in his comments and the stock price going to the low single digits. No, not all the way to zero.

I have more respect for him, apparently, than you do.

So it's a sign of "respect" to essentially accuse the man of lying about a company for money? And "disrespect" to think he's being honest about what he believes about the company?

We get regular reports of the short position. If it is clear that the shorts end up covering over some average dollar amount, such as $20 or $25, we can assume the shorts lost.

See, that is competely NOT THE POINT. The movement of the stock price over the next month or two will not make REFR's technology any more or less marketable or usable. You can go ahead and declare victory at that point if you want but you won't have proven anything until REFR actually makes money.

I bet you are a liar

I bet you're in my ignore file as of now.
