My foremost goal skating this time was not to fall. And I didn't. Very pleased about that.

It sounds like you and the kids had a ball. Your mention of field day brought back memories. They still call it that, eh?! We always used to have a parade down to the grounds where we all marched like little soldiers in our specially designed uniforms, and carrying our little flags. The front of the column carried the huge school flag. All the country schools filed after one another with their banners held high. We kids did not get dressed up too often, so the parade was quite the affair.

Our school was grades 1 to 8. We usually had about 20 or 25 kids; and we always marched in the parade from the tallest on back. Do your kids do a parade?
