I believe quite a few investors forget that lighting dark fibers in the ground requires photonics, which haven't been purchased.

Also, I understand there is enough fiber between tier I cities in the U.S., but not enough between smaller cities, and metro and "last mile" fiber has barely scratched the surface.

I am expecting this sector to become vibrant again once the weaker business models have gone BK. It probably won't recover until next year, however.
