I believe he was referring to JDSU and not any specific index, although I do not wish to put words into his mouth.

As Brian said, my comments were meant for JDSU only. JDSU enjoys a dominant position in a growth industry, and has a very strong balance sheet. I agree with you that it would be dangerous to apply my comments to a random company or an index.

PS I just read your second comment. I am a believer that the long term growth of the internet implies long term growth of JDSU. This could be debated, but seems a reasonable opinion to have.
